Manager, Capital & Impairment Asset Finance
Asset Finance is a huge growth area for the organisation and has rapidly grown to a book size of approximately 17bn. Through key brands they are enabling businesses and customers to purchase essential automotive assets via different product propositions.
Our team, Asset Finance Capital and Impairment, is responsible for the provision and capital adequacy which support sustainable business growth. We are credit risk professionals covering aspects such as forecasting, reporting, regulatory compliance and the insight into the credit risk drivers and mitigating factors.
In joining the team, youd have a role that matters to deliver sustainable business growth and youd get involved in matters such as IFRS9 provisioning, BCBS239, FINREP, Change management, SoX compliance, forecasting and stress testing, capital management and optimisation.
The Regulatory disclosures and Change Manager is responsible to deliver regulatory compliance at all times whilst ensuring we build the Asset Finance technical platform for the future.
The job holdermust have a good understanding of capital and impairment calculation, reporting and how that feeds into disclosures such as FINREP or STDF.
The job holder will also need to have a good understanding of SoX, processes control & governance and an appreciation on how to deliver change in a complex technical environment.
This is a high profile role liaising with stakeholders across multiple functions and different levels.
Preparation of regulatory returns such as FINREP and Stress Test Data Framework
Review and challenge operating model, processes and control framework
Liaise with internal and external auditors with matters relating to capital and impairment process
Identify and deliver simplification opportunities leading to efficiency gains and lower operational risk
Support the delivery of complex projects such as BSBC239, IFRS9
Manage and develop team members
Degree in numeric subject (maths, economics, op research, physics, etc.). Natural ability with numbers. Ability to work quickly and accurately and resolve to problems
Excellent communication skills in particular explaining complex problems to non-technical audience
A self-starter with passion to drive change and innovation
Experience delivering change and in particular for complex processes, systems and some understanding of SAS/SQL
Good understanding of capital and impairment calculation and reporting. Some understanding of IAS39, IAS17 and Credit Risk Regulation
Team leaderships skills with track record of leading and motivating teams
